Train for Life is unique to other gyms in that no one is on their journey alone.  Our community is welcoming and supportive.  Fitness gives us strength and with that, we are all capable of anything.  Here at Train for Life, members have a home-away-from-home, and become the people they were always meant to be.

We do not believe in the ordinary.  Through the use of the top methods in the industry, each workout is intended to make members better, both physically and mentally.  Our program and coaching is designed to achieve goals, reduce injuries and help make the most out of life.

A coach is someone who is able to bring more out of an individual than they ever thought possible.  We are coaches; and with fitness as our vehicle, we hope to create impact upon the world.  By building strength and confidence in our community, we can live lives worthy of a grand story.

Caitlin Lavin

Caitlin Lavin is a 200 Hour certified Yoga Instructor. She believes strongly in functional fitness. Mobility, strength, focus, flexibility, and balance are all at the center of my instruction and personal practice. Growing up in Western Massachusetts, Caitlin was heavily influenced as an athlete by soccer along with other sports and have tried to continue an active lifestyle. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and pursued teaching yoga. She has had the privilege of teaching to all age groups and athletic backgrounds. Her passion is working with fellow athletes looking to add that extra training tool to their workout and also introducing yoga to those who may not seek it out on their own or in a customary setting.

Along with the more traditionally based classes in the studio, Caitlin has developed a relationship with a number of local breweries in Western Mass and parts of Connecticut that now host yoga in the brewery. The hope is to create a more accessible Yoga class for those uncomfortable with or intimidated by the studio atmosphere. She is also looking to bring a truly unique social aspect to the practice.

Caitlin's teaching style is enthusiastic, and is inspired by her own athletic background. She try to bring a lighthearted approach to the instruction, which makes for a wonderful experience, especially for those who might be new to practicing Yoga or nervous about the class.
