Train for Life is unique to other gyms in that no one is on their journey alone.  Our community is welcoming and supportive.  Fitness gives us strength and with that, we are all capable of anything.  Here at Train for Life, members have a home-away-from-home, and become the people they were always meant to be.

We do not believe in the ordinary.  Through the use of the top methods in the industry, each workout is intended to make members better, both physically and mentally.  Our program and coaching is designed to achieve goals, reduce injuries and help make the most out of life.

A coach is someone who is able to bring more out of an individual than they ever thought possible.  We are coaches; and with fitness as our vehicle, we hope to create impact upon the world.  By building strength and confidence in our community, we can live lives worthy of a grand story.

Drew McConaha

Drew McConaha, co-owner of Train for Life, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  Drew was born and raised in Chicopee, MA and graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Biology.  In addition to his CSCS, Drew also holds certifications through Functional Movement Screen,  StrongFirst Kettlebell Level 1, RockTape FMT, Training for Warriors and is a Master Instructor for the DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Company.  Drew has presented at national conferences including NEHRSA and the Mexico Performance Week.  He is passionate about helping people live their best life possible and will certainly be one of the loudest voices in the gym.

Jordan McConaha

Jordan McConaha, co-owner of Train for Life, was born and raised in Chicopee, MA, just 7 houses away from Drew.  Jordan grew up with a love for dancing and aspired to be a math teacher for many years before finding her way into the fitness industry.  Through her journey with her own personal weight loss and desire to be strong, Jordan works diligently to motivate our members to find the same love for health, wellness and strength.  She is a Master Instructor for the DVRT Ultimate Sandbag Company, and also holds certifications through StrongFirst, as a kettlebell instructor, and Training for Warriors Level 1.  Jordan is compassionate and empathetic which is what created her role as the Fitness Ambassador for our company.  She is passionate about improving individuals way of life through nutrition and wellness, and believes in the balance of enjoying life while having a healthy relationship with food and exercise.

Joe Willis

Joe grew up in Agawam, MA and currently resides in Chicopee. He graduated from Westfield State University with a B.A. in History and received his M.S. in Human Resource Development from Villanova University in the Summer 2013. He has participated in a variety of organized sports since the age of 5. Having played soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, and track and competed at various levels; his love for athletics has been a lifelong commitment. He has been very actively involved in his son’s athletic endeavors and has been fortunate to coach and officiate at the youth and high school levels. Weight training since the age of 16 and consistently active in that regard for the past 20 years, he also enjoys running, hiking and generally any physical activity. A lifelong learner, Joe expects to bring his passion for knowledge and continuous self-improvement to Train For Life to help others realize their personal goals.


Alora Lynch

Alora Lynch was born and raised in Hampden, MA. Alora graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and is currently pursuing a second Bachelors Degree in Nursing. She has had a strong love of sports and fitness for many years. Alora has experience in many sports from softball and soccer to Tae Kwon Do. Through her experience as an athlete and a student, Alora has developed a strong passion for motivating others to work towards their goals to achieve their fullest potential. She is a certified lifeguard through the American Red Cross and she also holds a Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association. Alora wants to inspire others to develop an enthusiasm for bettering themselves.  


Miguel Santiago

Miguel Santiago was born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in South Hadley, MA and Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.  Miguel graduated from Skidmore College in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Health & Exericse Science.  During his time at Skidmore, Miguel was a member of the varsity basketball team and an active member of Skidmore's First Responder Health and Safety Laboratory.  Currently, his senior thesis is being reviewed for publication by ACSM's journal, Medicine & Science in Sport and Exercise.   Miguel currently holds certifications through Functional Movement Screen and American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED and is planning to sit for his NSCA-CSCS certification in the near future.  An overall enthusiast of sports and movement, Miguel is hoping to enter graduate school for Physical Therapy but while at Train for Life wants to help motivate others to reach their health and wellness goals. 


Joel Rodriguez

Born in Springfield and raised in Chicopee, MA, Joel studied Human Services at Greenfield Community College and is a certified medical assistant.  Joel is a father of two and husband to his wife Anna.  Joel came to Train for Life in 2014 and quickly became a passionate member.  He has always been involved in fitness and sports and after spending time at Train for Life, he became intrigued with the training philosophies and wanted more.  Joel has completed the DVRT Level 1 certification through Ultimate Sandbag Fitness.  He hopes to further his education and training in the field.


Vin Silano

Vin grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey.  He graduated from Springfield College in the Spring of 2015, where he received in Bachelor's Degree Exercise Science and Athletic Coaching.  Vin has always had a passion for athletics, wrestling being his main focus.  He was one of three captains for the Springfield College Wrestling Team.  He also played on a club rugby in New Jersey.  During the Summer of 2014, he interned for Reach Your Potential Training (RYPT); a top tier sports performance facility located in southern New Jersey.  Another way Vin expresses his dedication for helping others is through his involvement in Adventurelore; an adventure based counseling organization which specializes in at-risk youth.  Vin is currently certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and CPR certified by the American Heart Association .  Vin looks forward to assisting those interested in improving their health, fitness and lifestyle. 


Jeff Garvin

Jeff Garvin grew up in Chicopee, MA and currently resides there. He graduated from Johnson State College with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science.  He currently holds certifications through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), and the American Heart Associations (CPR/AED).  He has had a passion for strength training since the age of 15 and has competed in both powerlifting and strongman competitions. He has experience working with clients from strength competitors to busy parents.  He also enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking and doing anything with his 2 dogs (Leia & Obi) and his wife Tiffany.

This is an advanced class. All attendees must have completed a kettlebell or Turkish Get Up workshop before beginning these classes.  Coaches will make the final decision if a member is ready to participate or not.
